What are the different types of therapists in ABA therapy?

BCBA: Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Master’s Degree level therapist
BCaBA: Board Certified associate Behavior Analyst-Bachelor’s Degree level therapist
RBT: Registered Behavior Technician-tech has a minimum of a highschool diploma or equivalent and minimum of 40 hours of training for certification.

Will ABA cure my child’s autism?

No, ABA is not a cure for autism, but is part of an effective intervention plan that can warrant positive results quickly. Each child’s behavior intervention plan is designed to their specific needs.

How many hours of therapy will my child need?

The therapy hours will be based upon the completed assessments and then the recommendation of therapy hours will be provided.

How will I find the right provider?

Interview a variety of providers to make sure they are the right fit for your child AND family. They will be with you a lot and will also need to be able to collaborate with other professionals.
